Klondike is the solitaire that came with every computer, and this is a faithful take on it. A standard deck, seven columns, a stock to draw from, and four foundations to fill. Most of the board starts face-down, so half the fun is figuring out which cards to chase first.
It loads fast, the cards move cleanly, and it works the same on a phone as it does on a laptop. Good for a quick break or a long unwind.
You build the seven columns downward in alternating colors, a red on a black or a black on a red. Clear the face-up cards off a column and the hidden card beneath turns over. Aces go up to the foundations, then each suit builds in order to the King.
When you run out of plays, draw from the stock. Empty a whole column and you have a spot for a King. Win by getting all four suits home.
No. Unlike some solitaire variants, a random Klondike deal can be a dead end. With draw-1 a good player wins a large majority of deals; draw-3 is tougher. If you want a sure thing, try the daily challenge or turn on a winnable deal.
Draw-1 turns one card from the stock at a time, so you can reach any card with enough patience. Draw-3 turns three and only the top one is playable, which makes the stock harder to work through. You can switch between them in settings.
